  • We will assist and inform our customers and the sending party regarding the proper way to conduct transfers to Addax Tactical, but keep in mind we do not make the laws, we work within the boundaries of the current laws.

ADDAX TACTICAL REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING FOR ALL TRANSFERS:

1. The Customer needs to inform Addax Tactical about their pending transfer in advance.

2. DROS fee does not get charged until you come to our shop to fill out your forms).

3. The sending / transferring FFL or Private Party needs to contact us directly, and coordinate with us directly.

4. The sending / transferring FFL must be willing to comply with the CAL-DOJ CFLC program.

**If we receive a firearm without the CAL-DOJ CFLC number from the sending dealer, the firearm cannot be accepted until a number is provided or the firearm will be returned to the sender promptly at the customers expense.**

Private parties sending firearms into California are exempted from the CFLC program.

5. For Private Party / Non FFL Transfers the selling party / individual sends us a copy of their ID via fax or email with the information regarding the transaction, prior to shipping out the firearm. We require this, so that we have the sending parties information on file when the transferred firearm(s) arrives.

6. Any long gun being transferred in, MUST be in compliance with California Firearms Laws, and Federal Firearms Laws.

7. We require that the transferring party (FFL or Private Party) do one of the following:

  • a. Install a magazine locking device to any long gun that requires it (i.e. AR15 rifle)
  • b. –OR- Remove the Pistol Grip (if applicable)
  • c. –OR- Ship the Rifle disassembled, and we will install a magazine locking device if one is available for that particular firearm (additional parts and service fees apply).

**Before we release the firearm to the customer, we will install a magazine locking device (i.e. Bullet Button, Raddlock), at the customers expense (in addition to the Transfer Fee) to ensure that
the firearm is compliant.**

**No High Capacity Magazines will be accepted as a part of the Transfer, and if any are shipped with the firearm, they will be returned to the sender at the customers expense (in addition to the transfer fee)**

8) For all handgun transfers, it is the buyers responsibility to make sure that any handgun being transferred is on the CAL-DOJ Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

9) For all handgun transfers, the buyer needs to make absolutely sure that the firearm you are importing is listed by exact model number and that the caliber and barrel lengths match the descriptions on the certified list. If the handgun is not on the list, it cannot be DROSed.

**If a handgun is sent to us that is not on the list, then we will need to ship the handgun back to the original sender at the buyers expense.**

10) If we have to return anything to the sending party, this fee will be deducted from your pre-paid transfer fee to cover our administrative, and return shipping expenses.

11) Sales Tax will be collected on all FFL to FFL transfers (In State or Out of State Transfers). The CA-BOE has informed us that we are to collect sales tax on Dealer to Dealer transfers, and we need to show this on a receipt of the transfer / transaction.

If the customer can provide verifiable proof that they have paid the California Sales Tax, then Addax Tactical will not need to charge any Sales Tax.

The proof that the customer has paid the Sales Tax will need to be provided to Addax Tactical in the form of an official paid invoice from the company or dealer that you purchased the firearm from, and this invoice needs to show the product, transaction information, and a full receipt showing what was paid, and that the Sales Tax was collected.

Addax Tactical will need to retain a copy of any invoices showing proof that the Sales Tax was paid.

**Private Party to FFL Transfers are exempt from this policy.**

We UNDERSTAND, that some folks will be frustrated by this Sales Tax on Transfers Policy, but keep in mind that this is NOT an Addax Tactical policy, this is from the California Board of Equalization.
